The State of Skills 2020: Are you 3D ready?

In early 2020, MOTIF conducted a global skills survey to take the pulse of the fashion industry and assess the level of investment in skills by professionals and companies in apparel. While there is clearly still a need for strong fundamental skills (like apparel costing, sourcing, supply chain management, etc) one key finding is the perceived gap in “future” skills that blend in 3D digitization and data with technical. Catherine Cole shares key findings from MOTIF’s global research as well as discusses how individuals and companies can boost their 3D prowess by building a continuous learning environment in the workplace.
