The Inclusive Sizing Today is a hands-on one-and-a-half day themed workshop addressing the realities of developing sizing strategies that are more inclusive.

A typical Alvanon workshop will:

• Provide Alvanon insight into the best practices on tactical topics.
• Give participants an opportunity to share their specific challenges.
• Allow time to network with peers in a neutral peer-to-peer setting.

Charlotte Workshop

This one-and-a-half day (Day 1: afternoon session, Day 2: morning and afternoon sessions) workshop address the realities of developing sizing strategies that are more inclusive.

Product Developers, Technical Designers, and Designers of all skill levels.
This course is intended for anyone – product sizing, design, and marketing – with the brand goal of making their product more inclusive.

Wednesday Afternoon Session: Decoding Sizing for Today’s Inclusive World

March 11, 1:30pm 
  • The first part of this workshop is a half-day session addressing the reality that in today’s more inclusive world, it’s not just about ‘regular’ sizes anymore. Sizing strategies need to evolve to better fit a broader more divers, global consumer base. Clothing should fit no matter the consumer’s size – short, tall, curvy, straight, big, small, non-gender specific, athletic, or every-day. This is sizing and fit challenge is becoming more relevant every day.

Thursday Full Day Session: Women’s Plus

  • Plus-size is one of the hottest markets around; it’s also one of the most challenging to get the fit right. In this session we will delve into the technical aspects of fit and sizing for plus and share what we’ve observed as global fit experts.

About the Consultants

Tracy Rickert – Senior Consultant

For 20+ years Tracy has led teams in apparel retail, design, engineering, and sourcing. At Alvanon, she works with global clients to improve the fit of apparel and improve efficiencies and profitability in product development. Tracy held a variety of management positions at Target Corporation; in Fabric Engineering, Technical Design, Global Fit Standards, and Product Development.

Alice Rodrigues – Senior Consultant

Alice Rodrigues joined Alvanon in 2011 after spending over 35 years in the apparel industry. Her expertise encompasses garment construction, pattern making and fit development in addition to product development and technical design. Having held both line and management positions in global manufacturing operations she brings proven strategies and solutions to the complex tasks of garment standardization, fit and manufacturing processes.
