Our Privacy Policy is an integral part of our Terms and Conditions of Use. It is provided to give you NOTICE on how we collect, use, protect, or otherwise handle your information and provide information on how you can access, limit, and/or object to how your information is used. I. Information We Collect

MOTIF is owned and operated by MOTIF Learning Ltd., a company registered in Hong Kong with our registered office at 29-37 Kwai Wing Road, 10/F. Sing Mei Ind. Bldg, Kwai Chung, N.T., Hong Kong. Also referred to as “We” and “Our.”

We collect two types of information about our Users:

a) Personally Identifiable Information is information that identifies a specific User. We collect information from you when you register or create User Credentials, make a transaction, enroll in a course, fill out a form, or enter any other information through our Services.

b) Non-Personally Identifiable Information is information that does not identify a specific End User. This type of information may include things like the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) of the website you visited before coming to our Website, the URL of the website you visit after leaving our Website, the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address.

II. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use Personally Identifiable Information to provide products and services to you, enhance the operation of our Services, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, analyze Website use, and improve our product and service offerings. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to respond to your questions, provide you the specific course and/or services you select, send you updates about Online Courses offered by MOTIF or other MOTIF events, send you email messages about Site maintenance or updates, troubleshoot specific issues related to your account, resolve disputes, accomplish administrative tasks, contact you, enforce our agreements with you, including our Terms and Conditions of Use and this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities.

We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, administer the Website, analyze trends and statistics, gather demographic information, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We may also share this information with our authorized Third-Party Service Providers and Advertisers to measure the overall effectiveness of our online advertising, content, and programming.

III. Data Tracking

To facilitate and customize your experience with the Website, we use data tracking methods such as “cookies.” A cookie is a small file that is stored on a User’s computer for record-keeping purposes which contains information about that User. We use cookies to save you time while using our Services, remind us who you are, and track and target User interests in order to provide a customized experience. Cookies also allow us to collect Non-Personally Identifiable Information from you, like which pages you visited and what links you clicked on. Use of this information helps us to create a more user-friendly experience for all visitors.

This Privacy Policy covers the use of data tracking by MOTIF only and does not cover the use of cookies or other methods by any Third-Party. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you may be able to modify your browser settings to decline cookies. Please note that if you decline or delete these cookies, some parts of our Services may not function properly. Your sole remedy in such instances is to cease using our Services.

IV. Third-Party Services

We will not share, sell, rent, or trade your Personally Identifiable Information with other parties except for authorized third-party service providers who we contract with to assist in delivering our Services to you. With any third-party service provider, we will only disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us and we require them to have privacy protections in place. Some third-party services such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Other third-party content may be accessible through our Services. They have their own privacy policies and data collection, use and disclosure practices. If you link to any such website, we urge you to review that website’s privacy policy. This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from Users through our Services. We are not responsible for the policies or practices of third parties.

V. Participation in Online Courses

If you participate in one of our online courses, you will be asked to provide us with certain additional information necessary to conduct such a course. This information may include, among other things, details on your educational and occupational history and experience.

Participation in an online course will enable or require you to submit content you create, such as your responses to assignments, examinations, and projects; participation in discussions and forums; course evaluations, suggestions, feedback, and other input. VI. Participation in Online Forums

MOTIF may offer community forums from time to time (the “Forums”) where you can share comments and thoughts. In order to participate in the Forums, you may be required to register with us and/or provide us with Personally Identifiable Information such as your name and email address. Personally Identifiable Information shall not include any information posted or sent by or to you via any community Forum. Please keep in mind that information you post or make available in Forums will be publicly available. Accordingly, you should be careful when posting any personal or sensitive information.

VII. Security of Information

We take information security seriously. We employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information and partner with companies which do the same. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from our Services, and are not responsible for the actions of any third-parties that may receive any such information.

VIII. Privacy of Children

MOTIF prohibits the use of our Services by anyone under 13 years of age pursuant to our Terms and Conditions of Use. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for any Motif Services. IX. International Privacy Practices

By using and accessing our Services, you consent to the transfer to, and processing of, Personally Identifiable Information on servers located outside of the country where you are located, and that the protection of such information may be different than required under the laws of your location. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information when it is transferred.

IX (a). Europe. If you reside or are located within the European Economic Area and such transfers occur, we take appropriate steps to be in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you possess a number of rights in relation to your Personal Data. These rights include (i) the right to be informed of our data collection practices (as detailed in this Privacy Policy); (ii) the right of access; (iii) the right to rectification; (iv) the right to have your information deleted, including your entire account; (v) the right to restrict processing; (vi) the right to data portability; (vii) the right to object; and (viii) rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling. IX (b). California (USA). Notice of Privacy Rights to California Residents

California law requires that we provide you with a summary of your privacy rights under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (the “Act”) and the California Business and Professions Code. As required by the Act, we will provide you with the categories of Personally Identifiable Information that we collect through our Services and the categories of third party persons or entities with whom such Personally Identifiable Information may be shared for direct marketing purposes at your request.

California law requires us to inform you, at your request, (1) the categories of Personally Identifiable Information we collect and what third parties we share that information with; (2) the names and addresses of those third parties; and (3) examples of the products marketed by those companies. The Act further requires us to allow you to control who you do not want us to share that information with. To obtain this information, please send a request to [email protected] When contacting us, please indicate your name, address, email address, and what Personally Identifiable Information you do not want us to share with Affiliated Businesses or Marketing Partners. Also, please note that there is no charge for controlling the sharing of your Personally Identifiable Information or requesting this notice.

X. Updating and Correcting Information

You may access and edit your Personally Identifiable Information by logging into your account and accessing your User Credentials in the “My Profile” section of the site or by sending an email to our Data Protection Office at [email protected]

We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes.

XII. Modifications to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. The date of the most recent update is indicated at the top of this document. It is your responsibility to check for revisions of both this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of and changes or modifications constitutes your acceptance to all changes or modifications.
