    Future Narrative is a strategic forecasting consultancy that helps organisations build commercially-relevant strategies for future success. Founded by Petah Marian, an award-winning futurist and journalist with more than 15 years experience working across the retail and lifestyle sectors. Her expertise is in identifying emerging consumer and macro shifts, translating them into strategies that help organisations future-proof their propositions. She has worked with many of the world’s leading brands, helping the UK’s second largest supermarket chain build new retail formats, the world’s largest clothing retailer approach its sustainability strategy, the world’s largest coffee chain and denim brand adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic, and given keynote talks for businesses including ASOS and Google. Petah is an in demand keynote speaker at events including World Retail Congress in Dubai, Web Summit in Lisbon and Shoptalk in Las Vegas. Part of the shortlisting panel for the World Retail Awards, she is also regularly quoted in, or has written for, publications including the BBC, Financial Times, Guardian, Telegraph, Business of Fashion, WWD, Retail Week, Drapers and Vogue Business. Currently based in Melbourne, Petah has worked internationally, previously based in London for 15 years. She led WGSN’s business forecasting team, focusing on consumer value shifts, sustainability, wellness, ethical business strategies, global retail trends, technology, business strategy, retail marketing and store design.
